We’re thrilled to share this special coffee from our Direct Trade partner, Diego Robelo — producer at the renowned Aquiares Estate in Turrialba, Costa Rica. By working directly with Diego, we not only offer his incredible coffees,but also his commitment to sustainability, innovation, and community.

The F1 Esperanza is a groundbreaking hybrid created by CATIE, CIRAD, and World Coffee Research. It brings together Sarchimor T-5296, known for its strong resistance to leaf rust, and Ethiopian landrace ET25, famous for its natural sweetness and floral notes. This pairing produces a coffee that thrives in humid, volcanic soil and delivers a clean, vibrant cup.

In your cup, you’ll find sweet honey, toasted nuts, and caramel, with a smooth, balanced body and a refreshing finish. It’s a versatile roast that shines as drip, pour-over, or espresso.
